Yageo Has Developed The Smallest Chip Resistor In The World - RC0075

untitled

Yageo Corporation, the global leading passive component service provider, recently developed a prototype of the industry's smallest chip resistors named RC0075 (0.3 mm x 0.15 mm). The development demonstrates Yageo's leading position in innovation and R&D, as well as the firm's commitment of meeting customer's needs.

Measuring just 0.3 mm x 0.15 mm, the RC0075 chip resistor is 44% smaller than the EIA (Electronic Industries Association) size 01005 (0.4 mm x 0.2 mm) chip resistor, making it perfect for applications where miniaturization of thick film chip resistors is required. Moreover, the miniaturized size of the new device allows highly efficient usage of raw material thereby reducing environmentally hazardous wastes.

The development of RC0075 is combining Yageo's existing well-established expertise in chip resistor production with further refined manufacturing process and laser techniques, breaking through the tolerance limitation of thick film production. Meanwhile, the miniaturization techniques also enhance solderability by using various solderability processes to ensure meeting the highest standard of reliability.

The RC0075 chip resistor is mainly applicable to smartphones, RF modules, tablet PCs, micro drives and handheld memory products such as Secure Digital (SD) cards. Yageo's RC series, thick film chip resistors, offers a complete size range from 0075, 01005, 0201 to 2512 that is adequate to meet customers' various requirements and applications for higher performance and functionality. Moving forward, Yageo will continue to devote efforts in R&D, providing customers with quality products and services.
